The Ministries

Hospital and Nursing Home Ministry

“ I was sick and you visited Me.” Matthew 25:36

Ministry to people in hospitals and nursing homes is not only essential but it is a special ministry in countless ways. The missions team at HPFC enters an environment of future uncertainty, heightened emotions and tragedy at worst. Under the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit, the missions team responds with compassion and sensitivity to the needs of those involved by listening, encouraging and offering their support. These simple albeit crucial characteristics of love is one of the greatest gifts one can give to a person. Gaining a sense of being understood and cared for goes beyond the patients. The missions team is there to minister to the patient’s family members who find it difficult to cope with their loved ones condition. Visitation and prayer requests can be made by phone: (212) 369-6354.

Prison Ministry

“ I was in prison and you came to Me.” Matthew 25:36

With numerous studies revealing that there are more men and women incarcerated in the United States than there are in all of the armed forces combined; the prisons is one of the largest harvest fields. Though there is a high rate of recidivism; being incarcerated is a spiritual awakening for many and there’s nothing worse than the lost of an inmate’s soul. The Lord has opened this door to allow the Prison Ministry Team to pray, minister and share the gospel message of repentance, forgiveness, redemption and love. The Prison Ministry Team expects to make a real difference in the lives of those in prison. The inmates are left with hope and the understanding that though they are locked up; inwardly they are free. The Prison Ministry is looking forward to expanding and extending their outreach efforts by doing ministry with at-risk families and children of inmates. If you have a prayer request for someone (friend or family) who is incarcerated or is in danger of being incarcerated please call: (212) 369-6354.

Clothing Ministry

“I was naked and you clothed Me.” Matthew 25:36

The spiritual dimension of the Clothing Ministry is not one to be overlooked. It’s not just a place to procure clothing but to also minister to the needs of the whole person(s) physical and spiritual needs in an atmosphere of love. What makes this ministry effective is the heart and love our volunteers has for souls. The impact this ministry creates also relies on ones sensitivity to the spiritual needs of the people they come into contact. People get an opportunity to witness and experience the love of God and the love the church has for them. Often it is a ministry to the poor and homeless; however, such a ministry draws individuals and families struck by disaster (fire, flood, etc.) and those of low income that aren’t able to provide clothing and shoes for themselves or families. It allows them to purchase food and pay bills to sustain their lives and their dignity. The comfort of knowing that the church is available to them has developed many wonderful relationships. They find peace of mind, rest and prayer from the volunteers. We do accept clothing and shoes. The church is open to receive donations from 10am -3pm, Monday to Saturday. For health reasons, we ask that clothes are clean and in good condition. (*Note* Patrice could you write something about cash donations and tax forms.)

Food Pantry

“For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink.” Matthew 25:35

The purpose of the Food Pantry is to provide food assistance to any individual or family in need. We will not refuse assistance to anyone because no one should have to live with hunger. The HPFC Food Pantry provides non-perishable and some perishable items consisting of canned fruits, canned vegetables, pasta, cereals, rice, soups, canned meats, beverages, frozen meats and fresh produce to people in our community. The Food Pantry is open on Fridays, 10 AM to 1PM for participants to pick up their items free of charge and is distributed at the egress which makes it handicap accessible. Donations are always greatly appreciated and should be sent to this address: Holy Ghost Pentecostal Faith Church, 13-15 East 125th Street, New York, NY 10035. Anyone interested in volunteering or in need of information pertaining to needed assistance should call Terry Randolph (845) 464-2871 or (212) 369-6954.

International Missions

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations.” Matthew 28: 19

International Missionaries are one of the oldest and most honored offices of the Christian church. Missionaries witness and serve in dramatically different locale, cultures and is a tangible connection between the church and mission. The Lord has blessed our Senior Pastor and members of the leadership staff to carry out the vision through the international mission outreach at HPFC to advance the Gospel of Jesus and the Kingdom of God among the nations. International mission is an essential element of our collective ministry enabling us to contribute to the promise that “this gospel ..shall be preached…to all nations” by establishing outreach ministries in Samana Dominican Republic, Barbados and Mt. Ararat Fellowship & Restorative Center in Mt. Ararat, P. A. Missionary service on the field takes various forms, including teaching, planting new churches, working in relief and development efforts and many other areas pursuing the mission to seek the lost and bring them to Christ. HPFC’s international mission strives to be relational and cross-cultural, fostering meaningful and deepening relationships. Our goal is to supply these dedicated men and women with the necessary resources to achieve their goals above and beyond their expectations and enable those less fortunate in the world to begin a new frontier of hope. You can help us meet those goals by partnering with us through prayer, donating clothes, shoes, and monetary donations.

Drama Ministry

“He who is wise wins souls” Proverbs 11:30

The Drama Ministry is an artistic evangelical tool that presents the gospel to our community through the genres of music, skits and plays in a way that captivates the audience and brings the Word of God to life. The drama ministries core goal is to reach out and transform the lives of non-believers as well as strengthen the faith of believers. Not only will the audience laugh and cry but hearts will be pierced by God’s truth set forth through each message.
